The Battle of Sivens - Barricades

Introduction:

"From the end of August (date of the start of construction of the dam) until the beginning of March when the ZAD (zone of defence) was evacuated I visited Sivens.

I tried to document the flow of events (see the Battle of Sivens Part 1 and 2), I took some portraits (Sivens - Portraits) and took photos of the different barricades constructed and defended by the zadists.

Within the camp of the opponents of the dam these barricades were more or less criticized or defended, and among the "pro-dam" faction they gave significant weight when speaking of a "no-go" zone.

I'm not an academic, but by their symbolic significance, historical, cultural and political, it seems to me that some profound things are at play here.
